This is something I whipped up and is great for that chapped winter skin especially in this weather we’re all having across the world. Throw it in your bath and watch it melt away while you relax and take in the refreshing essential oils. If you’re not a fan of these oils I have provided feel free to add what you like.
You will need:
Cocoa butter, Shea butter, Almond oil, Baking soda, Citric Acid, Bentonite Clay, Essential oils
Measuring cup, Measuring spoons, Large bowl, Large mixing Spoon
3 cups of Coca butter
1 cup of Shea butter
1 cup of Backing Soda
1 cup of Citric Acid
2 Tablespoons of Bentonite Clay
1 tablespoon of Almond oil
20 drops of orange essential oil
15 drops of Peppermint oil
5 drops of clove essential oil
Measure your Cocoa Butter solid on a scale, then place it in the crockpot first( it’s more of a stable butter and a lot firmer so it takes more time to melt), if you don’t have a crockpot you could use a double boiler or make a double boiler with a smaller size pot, add water in the pot, place a larger size glass bowl over the pot of water and VOILA!!! You have a double boiler, be sure to melt butter on low heat.
Once the Coca butter is almost melted then add your measured Shea butter and put in with the Coca butter. While the butters are melting down slowly start mixing your dry ingredients into a LARGE bowl, stir with a spoon together until its mixed real good!
After the solid butters are all melted place into the measuring cup for easy pouring, wait till oils cool down before adding your essential oils. This will be a good time to add your Almond oil, stir all the oils together, pour your oils into your dry ingredients and mix well together well.
You can now scoop out your mixture into moulds, I used a candy square mold tray that can bepurchased at Michaels Craft Store. Now that all the mixture is out of the bowl
and into the mold let them sit and dry for 24. – 48 hours.
Drop into the bath and enjoy a relaxing moment!!!
